The Minnetonka Ice Skippers are a team of skaters from four local figure skating clubs, united by a love of skating and school spirit. Led by a former University of Minnesota hockey cheer captain, we cheer from the sidelines and perform on the ice—bringing energy, pride, and tradition to Minnetonka Hockey.
Our Coach
Coach Mahoney joined the Ice Skippers for their inaugural season in 2025. Prior to becoming coach, she spent two years on the University of Minnesota Hockey Cheerleading team, making two NCAA Men’s Hockey Frozen Four appearances in 2022 and 2023. Her background as a collegiate cheerleader brings valuable experience, leadership, and an understanding of performance at the highest level.

Coach Mahoney brings both passion and dedication to the Ice Skippers. She is excited to share her knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm with the team, inspiring athletes to grow in skill and confidence. Her commitment to building a supportive and fun environment makes her an incredible asset as the Ice Skippers begin their journey.
